The TSA and all members of the Travel & Tourism
community share a common customer - the traveling
public - and a common goal - ensuring that our
customers are well prepared for their journey. The
TSA has put together the most up-to-date and
comprehensive set of information on aviation security.
The Transportation Security
Administration (TSA) has developed standardized
security screening procedures for all airports.
Therefore, you can expect that you will encounter
essentially the same procedures at each airport you
visit.
TAS has identified some helpful information that
explains the security screening procedures as they may
apply to unique items.
WARNING: The Equipment Used To Screen Checked
Baggage Will Damage Undeveloped Film.
Pack your undeveloped film in your carry-on bag.
High speed and specialty film should be hand
inspected at the security checkpoint. To facilitate
hand-inspection, remove your undeveloped film from
the canister and pack in a clear plastic bag.
You may still consider bringing a lead-lined bag
if you are traveling through airports in other
countries as their policies may vary. Check with
your airline or travel agent for more information on
foreign airports.
